Introduction

Paramedical science is one more part of the health care system and it works parallel to medical science in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Analytical equipments like the clinical laboratory, ultrasound, X-ray, CT and other persistent or non-invasive methods and beneficial technical modes like physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy are part of the paramedical system. Several paramedical courses after graduation are as follows:

Bachelor of Physiotherapy:

It’s a 4.5 years program which involves the candidates to pass the 10+2 examination conducted by the State Board with a minimum of 50% marks. The students/candidates must have Chemistry and Biology / Physics as their key subject with English as supplementary subject.

M.Sc. Medical, Microbiology:

It’s also a three-year program which obliges B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks. The students must have Microbiology as their main subject with Physics and Chemistry as ancillary subjects.

M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry:

It’s a 3-years program which is pursued by completing B.Sc. The candidates enrolling for this course must have a three-year graduation degree with Chemistry or Biochemistry as their main subject, as well as Biology as ancillary subject. The minimum score criteria to pursue this course is 55% marks in undergraduate.

CCT – Cardiac Care Technology.
MLT – Medical Laboratory Technology.
MIT – Medical Imaging Technology.
PT – Perfusion Technology.
DT – Dialysis Technology.
